The ride report by Simeon Orme
I met Brian Marsh at the Crook n’ Lune Car park, we were heading along the cycle path towards Halton, at Denny Beck Lane we cross over the River Lune via the Iron Bridge, headed on through Halton and followed the road up to Four lane End, where followed Bottomdale Road and then Ancliffle Lane into Bolton-le-Sands. Where we follow the towpath along the Lancaster Canal to Crag Bank, where we cross over the A6 and headed through Crag Bank, where followed part of North Lancashire cycle way following the road along the shore, we cross over the River Keer via the foot/cycle bridge, then join the main road heading into Silverdale. After few miles we stop at the cafe at the Leighton Moss Nature Reserve.

After morning coffee headed through Silverdale via Gibraltar Farm Road, then through Elmslack, after about mile we turn off the tarmac and followed the bridleway over Arnside Knott, then enjoy the freewheel down into Arnside where we stop for lunch at end of the pier.

After lunch we continue through Arnside and Black Dyke before heading toward Hazelslack Tower Farm where we followed public byway through Dolly Wood. We soon join the tarmac again, after passing through Brackenthwaite, we then followed bridleway through Thrang Moss where we spotted some deer then continue on to Nineteen Acre Lane. After crossing over the A6 again, we followed the lanes through Cinderbarrow, Priest Hutton and then into Borwick. After crossing bridge over the Lancaster Canal just outside Borwick, we followed a white road through to New England where cross over the River Keer via old packet horse bridge, we soon following the Capernway Road into Over Kellet, we follow the main road toward Nether Kellet, at Newlands Farm we then followed Long Dales Lane then Dunald Mill Lane and then followed Park Lane through Halton Park back to the Crook n’ Lune.
